Nem sempre é fácil definir o nosso estilo. Primeiro porque passamos por diferentes fases ao longo da vida, depois porque até podemos gostar de uma tendência ou peça de roupa maravilhosa mas, se ela não se adequa ao nosso corpo e, especialmente, à nossa forma de estar, nunca a vamos usar ou vai acabar por cair no esquecimento.
No entanto, chega uma altura em que já sabemos onde estamos na vida e como somos, e acredito que é nesse ponto que definimos o nosso verdadeiro estilo.
Não é porque o Folk vai estar na moda este Inverno que eu vou adoptar esta tendência. Até posso gostar das colecções que foram apresentadas dentro deste estilo mas não vou trespassá-las para o meu closet só porque são uma tendência.
O estilo é algo que, no meu ponto de vista, vem de dentro. Basta repararem em pequenas situações do dia-a-dia que, por vezes, são inconscientes. Quando vão a uma loja sem um objectivo concreto em que peças pegam - estilos, cores, tecidos? Quando estão a folhear uma revista de moda, o que vos chama mais a atenção? Como são os vossos álbuns do Pinterest? Quem seguem no instagram? Tudo isto é a base para a definição do vosso estilo.
Quando fiz a transição Verão|Outono deparei-me com várias peças no meu armário que não fazem sentido, gostei delas na loja, claro, mas depois nunca [ou pouco] as vesti porque, na realidade, nunca me identifiquei realmente com elas.
Quando vou a uma loja, da tal forma inconsciente, acabo por escolher sempre preto, branco, cinzentos, nudes e denim. Esta é a base. Por vezes escolho alguma cor: burgundy, roxo, azul. Tentei durante algum tempo escolher outras cores, mais vivas, numa tentativa [ou obrigação] de acrescentar cor ao meu guarda-roupa, mas rapidamente percebi que o 'exagero' de cor não encaixa no meu estilo.
Quero ter um guarda-roupa que reflita o meu estilo, quero apostar em básicos de boa qualidade e de bom corte e aplicar o 'menos é mais' a tudo.
Neste processo de construção do meu wardrobe minimalista tenho chegado a peças e conjugações essenciais [cores e peças], que tenho mostrado na rubrica 'Monday Inspiration' e que agora fazem mais sentido sob o titulo de 'Building a minimalist wardrobe' [construindo um guarda-roupa minimalista] porque, na realidade, é mesmo disso que se trata e é neste processo que a inspiração para estes posts surge.
E hoje, a inspiração é geral.

It's not always easy to define our style. First because we go through different stages throughout life, then because we may even enjoy a trend or a stunning piece, but if it doesn't fit to our body and especially our way of being, we never will use it or it will eventually fall by the wayside.
However, there comes a time when we know where we are in life and how we are, and I think that's where we define our true style.
It's not because Folk will be fashionable this winter that I will adopt this trend. I can even like the collections that were presented in this style but I will not pierce them to my closet just because they are a trend.
The style is something that, in my point of view, comes from within. Just repair in the day-to-day small situations that sometimes are unaware. When you go to a store without a concrete goal which pieces you take - styles, colours, fabrics? When you're flipping through a fashion magazine, what calls you more attention? How are your Pinterest albums? Who do you follow on Instagram? All this is the basis for the definition of your style.
When I made the transition Summer | Autumn I came across several pieces in my closet that make no sense, I liked them in the store, of course, but then I never [or a few times] dress them because in reality, I never really identified myself with them.
When I go to a store, in such unconsciously, I end up always choose black, white, grey, nudes and denim. This is the base. Sometimes I choose some color: burgundy, purple, blue. I tried for a while to choose other brighter colours, in an effort [or obligation] to add color to my wardrobe, but I quickly realized that the 'exaggeration' of color doesn't fit in my style.
I want to have a wardrobe that reflects my style, I want to bet on good quality and good cut basics and apply the 'less is more' to everything.
In the construction process of my minimalist wardrobe I have reached essential pieces and conjugations [colors and parts], which I have shown to you under the heading 'Monday Inspiration' and that now make more sense under the title of 'Building a wardrobe minimalist' because in fact it is what it is and it's in this process that the inspiration for these posts arises.
And today, inspiration is general.
