Domingo quando saí da Topshop pensei: 'Ok, acabaram-se as compras'.

Pensava que todas as lojas de Oxford Street fechavam às 18h ao Domingo, e como já passava bastante das 18h quando sai da Topshop pensei que não ia ter como cair em tentação. Estava enganada! 

Quase todas as lojas fecham a essa hora em Oxford Street, mas a Office não! E, quem conhece, sabe que a Office tem sapatos lindos [muitos deles fabricados em Portugal]. Entrei [só para ver] e saí de lá com estes botins [lindos].

A sorte que eu tive, já andava à procura de uns botins destes há muito tempo. Finalmente encontrei.

Sunday when I left Topshop I thought: 'Ok, no more shopping'.

I thought all the shops of Oxford Street closed to 18 p.m. on Sunday, and as I left Topshop after 18 p.m. I thought I wouldn't have to fall into temptation. I was wrong! 

Almost all shops close at this hour in Oxford Street, but Office does not! And, who already know Office, knows that Office has gorgeous shoes [many of them manufactured in Portugal]. I entered [just to see] and I left there with these [beautiful] boots. 

Luckily I was looking for these boots a long time ago. And finally I found they.

É quase impossível ir a Londres e não comprar nada. 

Lojas diferentes, lojas em todo o lado, as novas colecções a invadir as montras. Topshop, Urban Outfitters, COS, All Saints, Religion, uma loja cool a cada esquina.

Tive que me conter muitas vezes, principalmente na All Saints que adoro mas que está cada vez mais cara [ou então tenho memória selectiva e esqueço-me de umas vezes para as outras!], tudo chama a atenção naquela loja: os blusões de cabedal, os sapatos, as t-shirts, tudo. 

Já a Urban Outfitters não está tão cool como normalmente, os preços continuam um pouco elevados quando comparados com a qualidade e o design não está a evoluir, a nova colecção parece mais do mesmo, parece que já a vi várias vezes.

Felizmente a Topshop continua a surpreender: peças interessantes, cada vez mais variedades de estilo, imensos acessórios e uma secção de sapatos soberba. E foi na Topshop que fiz mais compras [que podiam ter sido ainda mais, não fosse a falta de espaço na mala e na carteira!], comprei dois casacos e uma carteira [que estava a precisar mas ainda não tinha encontrado a ideal - não queria que fosse muito grande porque é só para cartões].

It's almost impossible to go to London and not buy anything.

Different stores, shops everywhere, the new collections invade the windows. Topshop, Urban Outfitters, COS, All Saints, Religion, cool shop on every corner.

I had to stop myself many times, mostly at the All Saints that I love but which is increasingly costly [then or I have selective memory and I forget from one time to another!], everything draws attention in that store: the leather jackets, the shoes, t-shirts, everything.

Urban Outfitters wasn't as cool as usual, prices are still a bit high compared to the quality and design is not evolving, the new collection looks more of the same, it seems I've seen it several times.

Fortunately, Topshop continues to amaze: interesting pieces, increasingly more varieties of style, accessories and a huge section of superb shoes. And it was in Topshop I did more shopping [which could have been more if  I had more space in my suitcase and in my wallet!], bought two jackets and a wallet [what I needed but had not yet found the ideal - not wanted it to be very large because it's only for credit cards].

Vou para Londres hoje e as previsões meteorológicas não são as melhores. É normal estar frio e chuva nesta altura do ano, mas este fim-de-semana vai ser especialmente gelado e chuvoso.

Tive então que repensar a roupa que vou levar. Nestas viagens lowcost o espaço na mala é mínimo e, como sabemos, as roupas quentes ocupam muito espaço. Por isso, vou levar só um casaco - quente e impermeável - que dá para levar logo vestido [porque cá também não está muito calor],  vou escolher looks básicos e neutros - com peças que facilmente podem ser repetidas [calças de ganga, camisolas de lã] - e dar-lhes um twist com acessórios marcantes e fáceis de transportar - colares, lenços, luvas, anéis, óculos, carteiras.

Vão ser quatro dias de pura diversão com amigos de vários pontos do mundo que, ou moram por lá, ou vão lá estar nestes dias - portugueses e polacos, essencialmente. Vão ser [bons] jantares, festas, noitadas, brunchs, conversas, tudo o que reencontrar amigos tem de bom.

E depois vou [re]viver mais uma vez a cidade: regressar aos sítios de sempre e descobrir as novidades.

Na lista das novidades encontram-se coisas tão boas [vindas dos States e agora mais perto de nós] como a Victoria's Secret e o Shake Shack [para mim os melhores hambúrguers do mundo].

Espero regressar com boas novidades das minhas lojas preferidas [Urban Outfitters e TopShop], dos mercados mais belos [espero que S. Pedro seja bom para nós] e dos pequenos [grandes] tesouros que se encontram nas pequenas lojas de bairro.

I'm going to London today and the weather forecast is not the best. It's normal to be cold and rainy this time of year, but this weekend will be especially cold and rainy.

I had therefore to rethink the outfit that I'll take. As we know, in the lowcost flights the luggage space is minimal and warm clothes take up too much space. Therefore, I will only take a jacket - warm and waterproof - I will choose basic and neutral looks - with pieces that can easily be repeated [ jeans, wool sweaters] - and give them a twist with striking and easy to carry accessories - necklaces, scarves, gloves, rings, sunglasses, purses.

Will be four days of pure fun with friends from across the world who either live there, or will be there these days - Portuguese and Polish, essentially. Will be [good] dinners, parties, late nights, brunches, conversations, everything that see old friends again bring.
And then I want live again the city: return to the best places ever and discover the news.

In the list of news are such good things [coming from the States and now closer to us] as Victoria's Secret and Shake Shack [for me the best hamburgers in the world].
I hope to return with good news from my favorite stores [Urban Outfitters and TopShop], from the most beautiful markets and with small treasures that are found in small neighborhood shops.
