Building a minimalist wardrobe. Deep Blue.

Para além dos básicos: preto, branco, nudes e cinzas, outra cor que considero essencial na construção de um wardrobe minimalista é o azul escuro. 

É uma cor que não tem muitos aliados, talvez por, durante muitos anos, ser considerada uma cor para pessoas mais velhas, a cor preferidas das nossas avós.

No entanto, a percepção do azul escuro está a mudar [tal como aconteceu com o cinzento] e, definitivamente, é uma cor a ter em conta esta estação e que acredito que se vá manter também nas próximas estações frias.

Ideal principalmente para o Inverno, é uma cor forte, marcante, que fica bem a peles claras [tão típicas das estações pós-férias!] e que se torna bastante elegante e sofisticada quando conjugada com preto ou tons de cinza.

In addition to the basic: black, white, nudes and grays, another color that I consider essential in building a minimalist wardrobe is deep blue.

It's a color that doesn't have many allies, perhaps because for many years, it be considered a color for older people, the favorite color of our grandmothers.

However, the perception of deep blue is changing [like what happened with grey] and it's definitely a color to take into account this season and I believe in the coming cold season also.

Ideal especially for winter, it's a strong color, striking, which is very good to light skin [so typical of post-holiday seasons!] and that becomes quite elegant and sophisticated when combined with black or gray shades.

The bag that made me change my mind.

Não sou fã de mini bags, preciso de espaço para as mil e uma coisas que vou colocando na mala ao longo do dia...telemóvel, carteira, óculos, ipad, carregadores, leque, casaco, enfim, uma lista interminável que tento sempre reduzir mas que, normalmente, se torna impossível.

I'm not a fan of mini bags, I need space for a thousand and one things that I put in my bag during the day... mobile phone, wallet, sunglasses, ipad, mobile chargers, coat, a long list that I always try to reduce but usually it becomes impossible.

It seems that Fall has arrived! I hope it's not already definitive but, if in the height of summer, I thought about Fall looks now so...

I want, for this Fall|Winter, a basic, sophisticated and minimal wardrobe - a few printed, finest materials, more sober colours - those for which I have a natural tendency - black, white, grey, burgundy and nude.

The grey|burgundy conjugation is perfect and essential for this Fall. Plain pieces that can be combined in a thousand ways, with special attention to accessories to give a personal touch to the looks.

Não sei se é influência dos anos que passei entre lindos figurinos feitos de tule, da elegância a eles associada ou simplesmente das memórias, mas adoro saias de tule.

Sempre combinadas com uma peça preta e elegante e com uma peça que contraste com a delicadeza das saias de tule - um blusão biker, por exemplo.

Atenção, são peças limite - basta um detalhe mal calculado para arruinar o look e transformar a delicadeza e elegância do tule num disfarce de carnaval. É necessário ter atenção a tudo - desde os sapatos até à mala e maquilhagem. Como este tipo de saia é a peça statement do look, tem que ser a única a sobressair.

White for Winter. Yes or no?

Vestir branco total no Inverno. Sim ou não? 

Eu considero uma boa opção - arrojada e urbana. 

Resulta tanto em looks mais sport casual - com os tão desejados adidas Stan Smith - como em looks mais sofisticados com calças em tecido ou saias pelo joelho.

Para mim, o look fica perfeito com um casaco comprido também em branco - uma das peças statement do Inverno.

Claro que temos sempre que ter em atenção o nosso tom de pele [nada que uma maquilhagem natural não resolva] e de cabelo [em alguns tons de loiro não resulta]. 

Mas atenção, em dias de chuva, não é a melhor opção - qualquer salpico mancha o branco e estraga o outfit.

Wear total white in Winter. Yes or no?

I consider it a good option - bold and urban.

Results in both sport casual looks - with the adidas Stan Smith as desired - as in more sophisticated looks with trousers or skirts.

To me, the look becomes perfect with a long coat also in white - one of the statement pieces of Winter.

Of course we always have to pay attention to our skin tone [nothing that a natural makeup can not solve] and hair tone [in some shades of blonde does not result].

But beware, on rainy days, is not the best option - any splashes can ruins the outfit.
