Regresso amanhã de Londres [espero eu, que o tempo não está animador] e vou contar as novidades nos próximos dias. Fiquem atentos.

Vou para Londres hoje e as previsões meteorológicas não são as melhores. É normal estar frio e chuva nesta altura do ano, mas este fim-de-semana vai ser especialmente gelado e chuvoso.

Tive então que repensar a roupa que vou levar. Nestas viagens lowcost o espaço na mala é mínimo e, como sabemos, as roupas quentes ocupam muito espaço. Por isso, vou levar só um casaco - quente e impermeável - que dá para levar logo vestido [porque cá também não está muito calor],  vou escolher looks básicos e neutros - com peças que facilmente podem ser repetidas [calças de ganga, camisolas de lã] - e dar-lhes um twist com acessórios marcantes e fáceis de transportar - colares, lenços, luvas, anéis, óculos, carteiras.

Vão ser quatro dias de pura diversão com amigos de vários pontos do mundo que, ou moram por lá, ou vão lá estar nestes dias - portugueses e polacos, essencialmente. Vão ser [bons] jantares, festas, noitadas, brunchs, conversas, tudo o que reencontrar amigos tem de bom.

E depois vou [re]viver mais uma vez a cidade: regressar aos sítios de sempre e descobrir as novidades.

Na lista das novidades encontram-se coisas tão boas [vindas dos States e agora mais perto de nós] como a Victoria's Secret e o Shake Shack [para mim os melhores hambúrguers do mundo].

Espero regressar com boas novidades das minhas lojas preferidas [Urban Outfitters e TopShop], dos mercados mais belos [espero que S. Pedro seja bom para nós] e dos pequenos [grandes] tesouros que se encontram nas pequenas lojas de bairro.

I'm going to London today and the weather forecast is not the best. It's normal to be cold and rainy this time of year, but this weekend will be especially cold and rainy.

I had therefore to rethink the outfit that I'll take. As we know, in the lowcost flights the luggage space is minimal and warm clothes take up too much space. Therefore, I will only take a jacket - warm and waterproof - I will choose basic and neutral looks - with pieces that can easily be repeated [ jeans, wool sweaters] - and give them a twist with striking and easy to carry accessories - necklaces, scarves, gloves, rings, sunglasses, purses.

Will be four days of pure fun with friends from across the world who either live there, or will be there these days - Portuguese and Polish, essentially. Will be [good] dinners, parties, late nights, brunches, conversations, everything that see old friends again bring.
And then I want live again the city: return to the best places ever and discover the news.

In the list of news are such good things [coming from the States and now closer to us] as Victoria's Secret and Shake Shack [for me the best hamburgers in the world].
I hope to return with good news from my favorite stores [Urban Outfitters and TopShop], from the most beautiful markets and with small treasures that are found in small neighborhood shops.

The new collection of Miu Miu's shoes hit stores. I want a couple of each, please. 

Returning to reality, as it's expected these shoes aren't cheap but there are models that are certainly worth investing, they are timeless and versatile, adaptable to different looks, give a special touch to a casual look and complement perfectly a fancy look.

Nada melhor que um pequeno choque para finalmente [re]iniciar a viagem rumo a uma vida mais saudável.

Era um objectivo para 2014 que andava em banho-maria, à espera de mais tempo, do inicio do mês, do bom tempo, de desculpas. E, de repente, chegaram os resultados [não tão bons!] das análises. Foi um wake up call. E este tipo de aviso, para mim, é o que resulta melhor.

A parte do exercicio físico estava a correr muito bem até ao Natal. Fazia ginásio 2 a 3 vezes por semana e posso dizer que já estava viciada [e que era muito bom], mas depois vieram as férias do Natal e o ginásio foi deixado para trás. Entretanto regressei ao trabalho e com o Ano Novo veio uma avalanche de novos projectos e, novamente, o regresso ao ginásio foi adiado, até ontem!

Finalmente, depois de 2 meses [ups!] a baldar-me regressei ontem, e hoje cá estou cheia de dores [como é possível que 2 meses parada façam tantos estragos nos músculos?!] mas determinada a voltar a viciar-me no ginásio. Para já vou 2 vezes por semana, mas o objectivo é voltar às 3 vezes por semana [4 vezes, nas semanas boas!].

Em relação à alimentação, já andava a fazer algumas pequenas alterações, deixei de comer algumas coisas que sentia que me faziam mal, começei a comer menos e a beber sumos verdes [que são deliciosos!].

Mas o maior problema são os doces. Adoro tudo o que tenha açúcar e, ainda por cima, adoro experimentar novos lugares e novos sabores [doces]. Este sim, vai ser o maior desafio, reduzir ao máximo o consumo de açúcar.

No próximo post vou mostra-vos a lista que objectivos e mudanças rumo a uma vida mais saudável e a um corpo de verão!

Nothing better than a little shock to finally [re]start the journey towards a healthier life.

It's a goal for 2014 that is in stand-by, waiting for more time available, for the beginning of the month, for better weather, excuses. And suddenly, the results [not so good!] of the blood test. It was a wake up call. And this kind of warning, to me, is what works best.

The exercise issue was going very well until Christmas. Was going to the gym 2-3 times a week and I can say that I was already addicted [and it was very nice], but then came the Christmas's holidays and gym was left behind. Meanwhile, I returned to work and with the New Year came a flood of new projects and, again, return to the gym was left behind, until yesterday!

Finally, after 2 months [ups!] I returned yesterday, and today I'm here full of muscles's pain [how can stop two months do so much damage in muscles?] but determined to return to the gym. For now I will 2 times a week, but the goal is to return to 3 times per week [4 times, on good weeks!].

Regarding to food, I already was doing some minor changes, I stopped eating a few things that made me feel bad, I started to eat less and drink green juice [which is delicious!].

But the biggest problem are candy. I love anything that has sugar and, moreover, I love to try new places and new [sweet] flavors. This indeed will be the biggest challenge, minimize the consumption of sugar.

In the next post I will show you the list of goals and changes for a healthier life and a summer's body!

Alexander McQueen. Miu Miu. As suas campanhas sempre deram nas vistas e sempre conseguiram despertaram o interesse do público. Mas as da próxima colecção Primavera|Verão 2014 estão absolutamente fabulosas.

São o oposto uma da outra, mas as duas prendem a nossa atenção desde o primeiro momento, tornando-se mais supreendentes a cada detalhe que descobrimos.

A casa McQueen foi buscar a veterana Kate Moss para protagonizar a sua campanha, num ambiente dark, fantástico e surreal. Enquanto que a Miu Miu juntou a novas estrelas de Hollywood num ambiente de fantasia, naif, colorido, inocente [com um toque subtil de rebeldia].

São duas das minhas marcas preferidas e integram talentos enormes, nada é deixado ao acaso. Reparem nas cores. São hipnotizantes.

Alexander McQueen. Miu Miu. Their campaigns have always been fabulous and have always managed to awaken public interest. But the campaigns for the next collection Spring|Summer 2014 are absolutely fabulous. 

They are the opposite of each other, but both hold our attention from the first moment, becoming more startling when we discover every detail. 

McQueen fetched the veteran Kate Moss to star in their campaign in a dark, fantastic and surreal environment. While Miu Miu joined the new Hollywood stars in a fantasy, naive, colorful, innocent [with a subtle touch of rebellion] environment. 

They are two of my favorite brands and integrate enormous talent, nothing is left to chance. Just look at the colors. Are hypnotizing.

| from Portugal with love | part 1

Gosto dos fins-de-semana em que descubro sítios bons, idealizados e criados por portugueses que, apesar da crise e de todos os entraves que o governo põe à criação de novos projectos, arriscam e concretizam os seus sonhos.

O Maria Azeitona é desses casos. É um restaurante de [boa] comida portuguesa, muito bem decorado, acolhedor, simpático. É um espaço onde apetece estar [e voltar] mas, acima de tudo, é um restaurante óptimo, divinal mesmo, todos os pratos, entradas e sobremesas [ai! as sobremesas!] têm óptimo aspecto. Os ingredientes são frescos, as combinações são fabulosas e o sabor é excelente, a comida é apurada, sabe bem. A sangria é óptima, o vinho da casa - Caiado - é excelente e o staff é atencioso e simpático. 

Há algum tempo que não encontrava, pela zona de Lisboa, um restaurante de comida portuguesa tão bom e, ainda por cima, é barato. 

Com estes ingredientes, o sucesso é certo. E é o que desejo a toda a equipa do Maria Azeitona.

[Quando forem experimentar, façam reserva porque abriu há 3 meses mas já é difícil arranjar mesa. E isto é bom sinal!]

I love the weekends where I discover nice places, conceived and created by Portuguese people that despite the crisis and all the obstacles that the government puts into the creation of new projects, people who take risks and materialize their dreams.

The Maria Azeitona it's one of this cases. It's a [good] portuguese restaurant, nicely decorated, cosy, friendly. It's a place where you feel good [and want to return] but, above all, is a fine restaurant, even divine, all dishes, entrees and desserts [ouch! the desserts!] looks great. The ingredients are fresh, the combinations are fabulous and the taste is great, the food is refined, tasty. The sangria is great, the house wine - Caiado - is excellent and the staff is attentive and friendly.

For some time I could not find, in the Lisbon area, a restaurant serving portuguese food so good and , moreover, so cheap.

With these ingredients, success is sure. And that is what I wish the entire team of Maria Azeitona.

[When you want to try it, make reservation because it opened 3 months ago but it's hard to get table. And that 's a good sign!]
