Adoro doces. Não há como fugir. Gosto de praticamente tudo o que tem açúcar, mel, maple sirup, agave, tudo! Mas, por acaso, não delirava com brigadeiros, achava enjoativo e, se tivesse alternativa, nunca ia para os brigadeiros.

Até agora. Eu não delirava com brigadeiros porque ainda não conhecia este 'pequeno pedaço de céu' perdido no Restelo. Num largo fora de toda a confusão que, por exemplo, a rua do Careca [deliciosos croissants e palmiers] tem, fica uma pequena e deliciosa loja [e atelier] cheia de brigadeiros - cheira tão bem!

Falo do 'Ponto Condensado - o atelier do brigadeiro'. Tem tantos sabores diferentes, tanta variedade, que o difícil mesmo é escolher. Felizmente [ou não] podemos encher caixinhas com todos os sabores que quisermos, trazer para casa e ir comendo [ou comer tudo num dia, nem que seja porque temos que provar todos os sabores que trouxemos!]. 

Até agora, o meu preferido é o de canela, sabe tão bem, parece arroz doce. Também adorei o de gengibre [o contraste do sabor do gengibre com o doce do leite condensado é uma delícia], o de ferrero rocher [tem uma avelã no meio e é coberto com bocadinhos de avelãs] e o de merengue. Mas ainda falta experimentar o de ginginha - promete.

E depois desta miscelânea de brigadeiros no formato tradicional ainda há o brigadeiro à colher que basicamente é uma overdose de leite condensado - um pote cheio de brigadeiro para se comer à colherada! Delicioso. Sente-se as calorias a entrar no corpo a cada colherada.

I love sweets. There is no escape. I like pretty much anything that has sugar, honey, maple sirup, agave, everything! But by chance, I don't was delirious with 'brigadeiros' [Brazilian truffles], cloying and thought, if I had an alternative, I never went to 'brigadeiros'.

Until now. I don't was delirious with 'brigadeiros', because didn't know yet this 'little piece of heaven' lost in Restelo [a Lisbon neighborhood]. On a street out of all the confusion, is located a small and delicious store [and atelier] full of 'brigadeiros' - it smells so good!

I speak of 'Ponto Condensado' [Condensed Point]. There are so many different flavors, so much variety, it's difficult to even choose. Fortunately [or not] we can fill small boxes with all the flavors you want, bring home and eat them slowly [or eat it all in one day, not least because we have to try all the flavors!].

Until now, my favorite is cinnamon, you know so good, looks like rice pudding. Also I loved the ginger flavor [the contrast of the ginger flavor with sweet condensed milk is delicious], the 'ferrero rocher' [have a hazelnut in the middle and is topped with bits of hazelnuts] and the merengue flavour  But still lack try the 'ginginha' one (a kind of cherry).

And after this hodgepodge of 'brigadeiros' in the traditional format, there is still the 'brigadeiro' spoon that is basically an overdose of condensed milk - a pot full of 'brigadeiro' to eat with a spoon! Delicious. You can feel the calories arriving into your body in every spoonful.

from weekend with love. part 2. the FIA trip.

Adoro a FIA, a Feira Internacional de Artesanato que se realiza todos os anos na FIL em Lisboa [e que terminou ontem]. 

Perco-me sempre por entre as barraquinhas repletas de peças lindas de  artesanato e as tasquinhas cheias de boa comida e bebida.

Da bijuteria nepalesa à indiana, dos tecidos vibrantes de Africa, America Latina e Ásia às lindissimas cestas em junco e capas em borel tão portuguesas, tudo é lindo, alegre, apelativo. Apetece trazer tudo.

Este ano contive-me. Trouxe uma linda cesta em junco e muitos bolos das Caldas de Rainha [todos deliciosos!] 

Para o ano há mais.

I love FIA, the International Handicraft Market which takes place every year at FIL in Lisbon [and that ended yesterday]. 

I always get lost among the little stands filled with beautiful handicrafts and the small taverns full of great food and drinks.

Since nepalese to indian jewellery from the vibrant fabrics of Africa, Latin America and Asia to the gorgeous, and so portuguese, reed baskets and 'borel' capes, everything is beautiful, cheerful, attractive. I want to bring everything.

This year I restrained myself. Brought a beautiful basket reed and lots of cakes from Caldas de Rainha [all delicious!]

Next year there are more.

Designed by Carolina Herrera, in an approach that is as elegant as dashing, the look includes three pieces: sweater, shorts and a long skirt in tulle, everything in a pearl tone. All the softness is broken at the end with the deep blue Manolo Blahnik, perfect.
